A Must for September

hellofall

I recently read a blog post by Gretchen Rubin who said September is her other January.  I totally agree.  September is a clean slate to start a new. I can’t move past the new school year routine, even at 50 something. I habitually do four things in the month of September.

Office Supply Shopping

I spent hours in the office supply store this time of  year.  There is so much to research and consider like what color of planner should I go with this year and should I purchase the gel pen or the retractable pen? You don’t have to be a student to enjoy this time of year.

All kidding aside, I did find a great buy at Stables just the other day.   You can buy a pack of 5 of one of my favorite pens for $1.  The Pentel R.S.V.P.® ballpoint stic pens are great because you can personalize them by adding Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper in the tube.  Try it.  It makes great gifts – you’re welcome.

Clothes Shopping

I’m a big fan of the CAbi clothing line. I like that it supports women like me who work independently instead of big box store. I adore my CAbi girl, Maarit. It’s so nice to have the personal attention and the clothes are fabulous. My attitude is buy good quality that is versatile in limited amounts. Fall is my favorite time of year so I often go a little overboard. Here’s the pieces that I have my eye on this month.

Anything brown and cozy, it’s my taste. I think I need to buy a new hat too!

I was immediately drawn to this jacket. However, I’ve sworn off black for awhile when my husband asked me if I was turning into a vampire.

Good thing this sweater is gray and not black. 🙂

Pumpkin Time

It’s that time of year – PUMPKIN TIME. Starbucks loves me this time of year. I can’t get enough of Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL™), Pumpkin Scone, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin Bread, and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino® Blended Beverage….to name a few.

Holiday Planning

This year, just like last year, I’m hosting a Handmade Holiday Weekend Retreat at the beach in Oregon. It is a sold out event, which makes me do the happy dance. It’s my time to relax, socialize, craft, and get ready for the busy holiday season. Armed with the new Holiday Catalog, a new planner, and a weekend away, I’m sure to take away some great gift ideas for upcoming holidays. Here are some of the projects from last year.
