FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Federal Way is near Tacoma Washington and Seattle Washington.  The best airport would be Sea-Tac International Airport which is 22 minutes by car.

What should I bring to the event?

Unless you are staying an extra day, I would bring minimal crafting supplies besides your favorite drink or snack. All project supplies are provided for except for the following:
1) Acrylic blocks for stamping
2) Your favorite craft adhesive (I supply Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, and Dimensionals)
3) Your favorite pair of scissors

What are the rooms like?

Attendees enjoy a single room with a half bath (sink and toilet) with shower stalls provided in a shared space down the hall.  Most rooms are on the 2nd floor, so attendee must request a 1st floor room if can’t do stairs as there is no elevator to the 2nd floor.

It’s not rustic by any means but it isn’t a spa resort either. Comfort and beauty. It’s best if you are looking for a ground-floor room, to secure your registration as soon as possible.

Can I stay an extra day?

No this option is not available this year.  However, there are wonderful places to stay in Seattle.

I already have the Retreat Stamp Set?

What is the MarketPlace?

It has been my experience from past events that some guests like to take their time and not be rushed (that’s me). I’ve designed the event so you can complete included technique projects without being rushed. However, there are those who stay up late or quick at completing the projects so I have created the MarketPlace. The MarketPlace is where top paper crafting designers will offer projects to be completed that are more detailed projects (or just plain cute), ranging from cards to gift giving. This is your opportunity to craft amazing projects with the designer on hand to help guide you and answer questions. These projects are optional. The prices and themes will vary, generally between $1 to $35.

MarketPlace projects are not included in the retreat price

What's the weather like?

The average temperature in Seattle in March for a typical day ranges from a high of 51°F (11°C) to a low of 37°F (3°C). Some would describe it as cold with a gentle breeze. For comparison, the hottest month in Seattle, August, has days with highs of 77°F (25°C) and lows of 56°F (13°C).

In the unlikely event, there are severe weather issues, we will cancel the event. See the refund policy below.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

You are available to transfer your registration to someone else or have the projects mailed to you.

What is the refund policy?

Due to the nature of this intimate event, details are planned and personalized far in advance for each of our guests, so all deposits and payments are 100% non-refundable. The registration fees are invested to secure your spot and to order the supplies.

In the unlikely event the retreat is canceled by the organizer because of weather or illness, we will have the option to attend a rescheduled event or have the kit mailed to you.

What if I have a food allergy?

Special assistance is available for individuals with specific dietary needs, including diabetics and vegetarians. There is a mini refrigerator in the Conference Room. Please let me know in the notes section when you register if you have specific dietary needs.

I have a mobility challenge, can I still attend?

Yes, you can. You can participate in as much or as little as you would like, there are no requirements. There are ADA rooms in the retreat building that is on the ground floor. Meals are served in the same building. We will make it a priority to accommodate you.

When are meals served?

Meals are catered and served in our crafting area at set times.  Dinner on Friday, B, L & D on Saturday with coffee/tea available all day. Breakfast & Lunch on Sunday.
