This swap is an annual CraftyPerson Swap. It’s 2″ x 2″ square cards – easy-peasy. What’s so great about swapping card candy is you can showcase different stamp set and colors to your customers in fun bite sized pieces!

They make an adorable sampler package. See sample ideas below of cards, scrapbook pages, and framed art that you can make with all the samples you will have.

The theme for this swap is Christmas and New Years – any current stamp set from Holiday Catalog.

SWAP DETAILS

  1. Date: Friday November 10th 8AM
  2. 2″ x 2″ Square Base
  3. Theme is Christmas/New Years from Holiday Catalog.
  4. Bring at least ten (10) 2″ x 2″ of the same design. But watch to see if our participant number climb. Last year we had 40 participants in total.
  5. Meet near South Entrance,  near Bus Departure.

HOW MANY SWAPS?

This organized swap is setup so you can bring your choice of swaps. A minimum of 10 and generally a maximum of 40. Please check back to this page often to verify the number of registered swapper. If we have 40 registered, you can bring 40 swaps and have a wonderful variety.

The way the swap works is you line up and swap until you are out of swaps. This allows participants to have different swap counts, which we think is pretty unique and cool. You only need to bring one (1) card candy design. The swap goes fast so there is no opportunity for someone to choose a different choice.

TIME & LOCATION

  • Near South Entrance of Convention Center, where Buses depart.  We’ve had previous Main Stage meeting near this area before.
  • Swap starts at 8:10 am, please be there 10 minutes early so you don’t miss out on your swap and prize drawing.

Yes, you can bring friends. Share the news! Please have them RSVP to be a swapper.

Questions?

Q: What’s the theme?

A: It’s an Occasion theme. Christmas and New Years from Holiday Catalog. Any color and any current set from the Holiday Catalog.

Q: Should I put my name on the back?

A: The Card Candy size makes it hard for to add information on the back.  We don’t require it but it’s nice if you can make it work so everyone knows the artist who made it.

Q: Should I put the Card Candy in a sleeve?

A: The Card Candy size makes it hard to add a plastic sleeve around it, so I don’t. We want to make this easy!

Q: How do you qualify for the Prize Drawing?

A: We randomly pick three of the swaps that I receive during swapping.  Make sure you are on time as I’m the first person to swap.

Q: Where are we meeting?

A: We will be meeting in the area where you enter for General Admission.  We form a line across from the doors, near the windows.

Q: How many swaps should I bring?

A: This organized swap is setup so you can bring your choice of swaps.

Q: Can I participate if I'm not attending OnStage?

A: Yes, you can, if you know someone else who is going. We will warn you it can be difficult for participants to try and swap for someone else as the swap process goes very quickly. We don’t like to exclude anyone from the fun. Please do register separately for each person so they get the email after with the pictures of all the swaps.

CRAFTING RETREATS

We host 4 weekend retreats every year: Technique Retreat in Leavenworth Washington, Summer Fun Retreat in Union Washington, Fall Retreat near Denver Colorado, and Handmade Holidays Retreat in Rockaway Beach Oregon. Our retreats are all-inclusive, informative, and fun. View our upcoming retreats here.

Each spring I look forward to attending the Craftyperson’s technique retreat! There is always delicious foods, a serene setting, thoughtfully prepared projects and lots of surprises. The staff and facilities are top notch and Debbie has a great group of ladies that love to share their ideas and more than willing to help each other. One of my favourite parts is showing up with just scissors! She provides everything so there is not stress about packing either. All project supplies are provided even the adhesives. The event is designed so you can complete the technique project without stress and take your time. I you are a night owl or just speedy there is also a MarketPlace where her designers provide more detailed projects. Some of the projects are seen above. They always blow me away with their ideas and it’s lovely that they are right there to answer any questions and help you along if you need extra guidance. These projects are optional and reasonably priced. Visit her Craftyperson website if you might like to be included in one of her events. You will be happy you did!

Technique Retreat in Leavenworth Washington

I had a wonderful time at the Technique Retreat 2015 and enjoyed all the projects. The retreat was well-organized, had beautiful projects, and the venue was amazing. I’ll definitely sign-up for the next one!

I got a beautiful card in the mail. You know, one of those that looks like it came from someone who crafts and thinks highly enough of me to take the time to make it. Thank you for my card!!!

I do so enjoy ya’ll’s service. I am learning a lot from your information.

Such a wonderful presentation! I love those colors, but wouldn’t think to put them together; thank you for sharing your ideas! [on Color Inspiration for August]

My Favorite Amazon Crafting Buys

I’ve become an Amazon junkie since I have Amazon Prime and Dot. If I’m not buying crafting stuff from my own Stampin’ Up! store, I then go to Amazon. These items are tried and true products I use all the time. I’ve mentioned or my customers, friends, and demo sisters have seen me use them and have asked where I ordered them from and how much. My mind isn’t what it used to be so I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Amazon craft finds here. I’ll continue to update this list.
