Hello there. I’m Debbie. I am a computer geek, digital scrapbooker, and travel nut. I’ve been in technology for more years than I want to admit on this page. I went to computer programming school and was a developer for many years. My degree is in business and communication. I am currently a Project Manager for a technical consulting company. I know it’s a bit of an unusual combination.
I was introduced to Stampin’ Up! at a party I attended with a friend. I instantly fell in love with the hobby and joined the company way, way, way back in 2004. I love the women I work with, we call ourselves the CraftyPerson Team. Here’s a few of my team members; Angel Garrison, Marcy Daniels, and Lisa Miller.
I created CraftyPerson Productions in 2007 when I saw a need in the Stampin’ Up! community for quality, personalized, and professional email newsletters. I enjoy working with other demonstrators to create solutions to help better communicate with their customers, improve their businesses, and save time. That’s my high in life, helping others.
Amy and I cohost this site. I want to go on record to say Amy is an excellent business partner. We balance each other, challenge each other, laugh at ourselves, and make a really good team. We’ve had many high points and a few bumps, but no matter where this journey takes us, I enjoy and always want to be business partners! Here is one of my favorite pictures of us.
I’ve lived in many different places. I’m a Pacific Northwester for sure. My husband and I used to be live-aboard boaters in Portland, Oregon. In the Pacific Northwest, you can live on boats all year long. I started living on a boat over 10 years ago because I wanted to live near the water but couldn’t afford it. So I bought an old boat and fixed it up. I knew nothing of boating at the time so I joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary. I am now a trained Coast Guard crew member and also a Team Coordination Trainer. I have an immense respect for the Coast Guard. If they would take me at my age, I would join again.
When I’m not working, I travel as much as I can. I have a bad case of the travel bug. I think this quote sums it up for me.
“We travel not to escape life,
but for life not to escape us”
Below is a picture of Eliona who I meet while I was visiting Tanzania Africa for a volunteer program and safari. Such a smart young man, so filled with joy and laughter. I highly recommend Make A Difference Now if you ever decide you would like to volunteer or sponsor a child.
Besides our Crafting Life’s Adventure Instagram Page, I have a Stampin’ Up! Projects blog that I started. This links to a Facebook Group from a class I did several years ago. I “sometimes” post Facebook Tips on our Facebook page on Fridays. Yes…still trying to make it a habit but not quite there yet.
I host several crafting retreats each year in the Pacific Northwest. We have a ball. I have guests that look forward to going each and every year. I’m looking for other locations, so if you have a place in mind….please let me know.
It’s my dream to organize a weekend blogging retreat where I take 10 ladies and we build WordPress blogs from scratch all while sipping on wine, eating decadent food in a beautiful location. Are you with me?
Here are a few of my favorite projects.
Every Monday I offer a new mantra for the week on my Facebook Page.
I have a Stampin’ Up! Store page where you can purchase Stampin’ Up! products 24/7. I value your business and friendship. My customers mean the world to me, most have become life-long friends.
Thanks for reading! Hopefully, someday we will meet in person, drink coffee (another one of my passions) and share stories and dreams.
Create yourself a new every day!
