Christmas Projects – a Few of My Favorite Things

CraftyPerson-HandmadeHolidaysEvent-CherylHealy5

It is not even Christmas yet and I’m already making a list of things I am going to do again next year.   This year I hosted a Handmade Holiday Craft Weekend, two actually.  One at the beach and one in Federal Way.  I’m definitely doing this again.  Totally got me in the holiday spirit and gave me an opportunity to share it with fun ladies before the things become hectic.

At the event, there were several handmade projects to make.  These are a few handmade projects that I’m going to create again next year.

Advent Calendar

The first one is this Advent Calendar.  I gave mine away as soon as it was done.  I’ll make more next year so I can keep one and give several away.

This was the one I had shown to the group.  And below are a few complete pics by some of the attendees.

Mini Album

This mini album was first published in my Holiday Helper 2014.  The project was created by the talented Michelle Hornbach.  It tells the story of Jesus.  It was beautifully done and a wonderful gift to give to a child.

Linda Arnold recreated the project using the same text.  And it was just lovely.  Unfortunately, I only got one picture before it was whisked away.

Here’s a completely different version by Cheryl Healy.  It’s the Night before Christmas.

Candy Wrappers

I can’t even remember how many of these little candy wrappers I made and gave away.  Everyone seemed to appreciate them and they are so easy to make.  The hardest part is putting in the candy instead of eating it myself.

I hope you will be able to join us next year in September at the Handmade Holidays 2016 event.

  1. My Favorite Fall Items - CraftyPerson - September 7, 2016

[…] This year, just like last year, I’m hosting a Handmade Holiday Weekend Retreat at the beach in Oregon. It is a sold out event, which makes me do the happy dance. It’s my time to relax, socialize, craft, and get ready for the busy holiday season. Armed with the new Holiday Catalog, a new planner, and a weekend away, I’m sure to take away some great gift ideas for upcoming holidays. Here are some of the projects from last year. […]
