Give a gift that will dazzle like this Butterfly Box! In this tutorial, we will show you how elegant gold touches make this easy and quick Tiny Treat Box look like a million. Who do you know that would love this box?
Add elegant gold touches with Stampin’ Up! Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper, Gold Sequin Trim, and Gold Foil die cut butterfly and you make plain and simple boxes into elegant and beautiful packaging. You’ll be surprised how easy this transformation is!
STEP ONE:
Die cut Gold Foil Sheet with medium sized butterfly from the Stampin’ Up! Butterflies Thinlits set and the Big Shot.
TIP: Using the Precision Cutting Plate is recommended as it will make all the detailed die cut pieces come out more easily.
STEP TWO:
Center the edge of a square of Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper about half way in the 3/4″ Circle Punch. Punch to create the finger tab opening for the front section of the box.
STEP THREE:
Adhere square paper with the notch punched out on the front panel of the box with the matching finger tab opening.
If using multiple patterns of paper as shown here adhere the paper squares so the stripes and netting designs alternate around the box and the speckled pattern is on the lid of the box.
STEP FOUR:
No adhesives are needed to assemble the Tiny Treat Boxes.
Fold in the larger flap with the cut out “U” shape first.
Next fold in the two smaller side flaps.
To finish assembling the box simply press the end of the narrow tabbed flap down into the box. The end of it will pop into the box and secure the bottom closed.
Tiny Treat Boxes are affordable, cute, and easy to assemble – no adhesives needed!
STEP FIVE
Cut two 5″ pieces of the Gold Sequin Trim. Adhere in an “X” across the top of the box using a couple Glue Dots each.
Gently bend the wings of the butterfly die cut up a bit. Adhere butterfly over the center of the sequin “X” with a couple Glue Dots.
