Being Sick

Outlander-poster[1]

I’ve been sick the last couple of days. I tweaked my back and haven’t been able to do much without pain killers. You would think I would be frustrated, especially since it’s the holidays. But I’m not and here is why.

I have to thank my husband for making all the meals and being such a patient sport though it all.  I also know this is a temporary set back and I’ll be back to my regular crazy schedule soon. Here’s what got me through the last three days:

New Computer

I had a new computer on order which arrived Christmas Eve.  It’s a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2 in 1 Touchscreen Laptop.  It’s quite smaller than my failing laptop but so much easier to use while resting in bed.  I especially like how it turns into a tablet with a pen that is stored in the case (yep haven’t lost it yet).

Good T.V.

I don’t often have an opportunity to watch TV, but being bedridden for 3 days I’ve watched 3 whole series.   Star Trek Voyager, Poldark, and Outlander.  What do they have in common besides handsome leading men?  They are set in different time eras, have strong women characters, and have great stories.  It’s been wonderful.  I’ve cried, laughed, and cheered, and I’m sorry to see it come to an end.

Cabi Comfy Clothes

I probably shouldn’t confess this but I’ve been wearing the same clothes three days straight.  The Serenity Tee and At Ease Track Pants are more comfortable than my pajamas.  I look like a mess but my clothes look good.

I feel like a kid in a candy store.  It’s the little things that get us through.  If you have any suggestions I’m happy to hear them.  I hope my share with you in case you need some distractions as I have.
